Just 19.6% AR and price is down.
Who bought at 385 like me are in huge loss and buyback profit is not enough it cover that loss.
Only price recovery could save us now from loss.

Currently at 32,000 rs loss and if we add buyback profit then 18,000 rs loss in total 4 accounts.
Should have taken extra care before participating , if too many people take part than price also fall after buyback record date because everyone comes to sell as well the AR also comes very less for all participants..

Yes if price recovers 370 thn no loss no profit. Still fear Buyback returned shares selling pressure tomorrow or day after tomorrow.

SIVARAMAKRISHNA Sir , are you participating in orbit and kaveri seed buyback?
And what’s your approx estimate of final AR in both buybacks

Participating in the Buyback of Kaveri Seeds. Yet to decide regarding Orbit. Now a days I am not studying much and hence can’t estimate. Thank u n God blesses you with all the best.

As Per my Analysis AR would be around 17-20%. Hope Some positive news in budget for this segment.

Just realized that ICICI direct closes the buyback at 11:00 AM. What a bunch of frauds. I couldn’t tender yesterday because the shares were pledges, and I unpledged them on the 29th.

Any chance of doing it directly from NSDL?

Look at the mail from the RTA agent. I think there is an option to send a physical form to tender the shares. I have never used it myself, so don’t know the process.

Expecting 22% + AR for Chambal.. Lets hope for a rally tomorrow in Chambal and AR would increase.
The ideal day to apply in Buyback is last day by 10 AM, after reviewing the market rate, but only if you are sure not to forget.

When is the ideal date among the offer period to actually apply for Buyback? is it second last day ?

hold 375 shares purchased long before record date. 26 shares offered for buyback by company over mail. wish to apply 26 shares for buyback. will they take all 26 shares and settle transaction or any chance is there to take lesser number of share for buyback by company. pls let know buddies.

Very bad , too much loss in chambal shares😢
I should have not participated Final AR also would be less

Buybacks had been profitable in the bull market, so people have started participating blindly. These days there is a lot of awareness among both retail and institutional investors who position accordingly and it is not like there is any free money waiting to be picked up. Among recent buybacks, Elegant Marbles, Dhampur and Chambal will likely result in losses for many of those who bought just in the hope of buyback profits.

But, why do you even think that Buying Stocks for Buyback is for actual Buyback. When a company does buyback –
        1. No. of shares in the market reduce which increases EPS and which decrease PE Ratio and it makes the stock at attractive valuation to earn mid-term better profits.
        2. Also, with strong financial companies like Chambal Fert. , lesser shares in public/market means higher demand and a upper side rally which will again increase the price.

So, it’s a win-win situation atleast in this stock. whatever accepted, rest get from open market.

Entitlement Ratio has been 6%, I got the mail. if only 30% would apply, then acceptance ratio would be about 14.41%. to be in 15-18%, less than 25% of retail shareholders should apply

Very nice of you Sumit ji, for coming on with the positive/ optimistic comment in the present situation. Let us also wish good luck to all of us. After all you have been excellent in your foresight and forecasts

Gopi ji, Market is the King. Chambal is a decent stock available at decent valuation. We have many examples where Buyback was not so successful but the rate sooner crossed the Buyback price..
I Believe Chambal and KSCL are the shares to be hold for future ( 1 year ) in case there are some drastic events in market. So nothing to worry…,, Budget could probably also support… Lets see..
Secondary market I am deep into V Cloud.

Agree with your excellent comments in full, Sumit Ji.Wish you to be in cloud nine as well.

So, if ER has been 6%, then mathematically , to get 30% AR, only 10-12% eligible shareholders to apply I guess

I received email in one account but not for another, despite buying on same day in both accounts. Is there any other way to verify eligibility?

Thanks Gopi ji & SRK ji for your kind words. It has been windfall in secondary market and had been busy in it…..

Good to know that you have made a fortune in the secondary market.I too made good money this year.Wish you greater luck.

Today is the last day to buy for Chamball Buyback.. Seeing current market condition 510-512 Shares to be max for been Small Category.

Good to see you back after a long time.Hope everything is fine with you, Sumit ji.

Ex date showing at zerodha portal is 18 Jan
Can u pls tell whether we can buy it tomorrow or not

Very much delighted to see your posting. We are all missing you in the forum for the last several days. Good god, you have restarted. Wholeheartedly, I thank you very much for your kindness to post your thoughts.

………..Your posting, Sumit ji. Sorry for omitting the name.

Also, lets take an example if I have 100 shares before record date and sale shares after record date but before offering for buy back and then repurchase before offering for buy back, will I be able to participate in Buy back

Experts, Any possibility that will be out from ban period before 17th January?

Yes, it is possible, since MWPL is down to 80.2%, but how is it relevant for the buyback ?

Looks like people not much interested in this buyback.
BTW what will be the approx ER n AR for retail?

Expected Minimum Entitlement Ratio for Small Shareholders (below Rs 2 lakhs):

    Dhampur Sugar Jan 2024: 2.25 %
    Kaveri Seeds Jan 2024: 30.04 %
    Chambal Fertilisers Jan 2024: 11.22 %
    Bajaj Auto Jan 2024 : 15 %

A rough calculation of retail (<2L) gave me an ER of around 5%. If the price goes about 400, then AR can be 25 to 30%. The buyback size is not small when looking into the market cap.

Acceptance ratio too low will be less than 5% theoretically. Practically also not be more than 20 percent

Participating in this buyback !! Request to other members to provide their views on this buyback !!

My only major concern is small size.
If price fall below 380 then we may end up in loss

    Buyback price – Rs. 450
Buyback size – 700 Crores rupees (3.74% of the total paid-up equity share capital of the Company as on
    March 31, 2023)
    Record date – 18th January, 2024

Today it’s down around 5% before Board Meeting on Monday. What could be reason.. I bought 100 shares yesterday

Yesterday all fertiliser stocks were corrected around 3-5 % !! That may be one of the reason for fall in Chambal !!

This looks the best among the present lot. Hope for a better offer.
